Oregon Coast Wellness Retreat
Looking to get away this summer and do something special for yourself? The Oregon coast is known for surfing, hiking trails, fresh food, and relaxation on the beach, and it is the perfect site for our upcoming wellness retreat in July! Join teachers Kym Klein and Tamara Kenigsberg for an invigorating, restorative and mindful getaway and learn to take a step back and be present in this experience and in daily life. From morning workouts and afternoon adventures, to sunset yoga and dinners out on the town, this trip will leave you refreshed, rejuvenated, and feeling strong inside and out.
Each morning, Kym will wake us up with a high-intensity core-focused class inspired by Pilates principles. In the evenings, Tamara will lead a yoga practice that will alternate between a creatively-sequenced and intelligently-aligned power vinyasa flow and a relaxing, restorative class.
Every day on the retreat will be a new adventure, from challenging our bodies in new ways to trying new wine and more! We have two exciting activities included in the program: a hike led by an expert local guide and a day trip to Willamette Wine Country for tastings at local vineyards, a catered lunch, and even a winery yoga class! Other optional activities to consider adding during free time are golfing, surfing and kayaking.
We will enjoy our daily workouts and activities, but we will also appreciate the well-deserved free time to kick back, refresh, and disconnect from our lives back home. The hotel is a short walk to the beach where sunbathing, swimming, and stand-up paddle boarding are popular, and if staying at the hotel is more appealing, we have complimentary access to the sauna and salt water soaking pool! There is also time to enjoy a massage or other spa treatments, which we are happy to help you coordinate!

The AccommodationsThe Ashore Hotel is a trendy property just half a block from the famous Seaside Beach Promenade. The hotel has a retro, bohemian vibe with reclaimed wood furnishings and laid-back rooms complete with free Wi-Fi and memory foam mattresses. The room types are King rooms with one king bed and Double rooms which have one queen bed plus one day bed. The Doubles may be turned into Triples by pulling out a trundle bed beneath the day bed.
The hotel offers a well-curated selection of local craft brews, organic or biodynamic wine from around the world and delicious snacks. They also proudly serve coffee from a local roaster, Sleepy Monk. There are complimentary bikes to take for a ride and explore the beach town, but if you prefer to stay in, there is a restorative dry sauna and salt water soaking pool to relax and enjoy!
Friday, July 20
Welcome to Oregon! We'll have introductions, our first workout, and a group dinner at a delicious local restaurant to end our first night together.
Saturday, July 21
Each day we will wake to an invigorating core / HIIT class at a nearby studio led by Kym. We'll have a light continental breakfast at the hotel and free time to relax and kick off vacation. In the evening, Tamara will lead a yoga class either back at the studio or on the beach, and then we will decide where to have dinner as a group - or you're free to go off independently!
Sunday, July 22
Morning core class and breakfast will be followed by a moderate-intensity hike nearby! Led by a local guide, we will get the inside scoop on where to go while learning about the area. We'll have a yoga class in the evening to help stretch out after the hike, and then a free night for dinner.
Monday, July 23
Morning core class and breakfast followed by a free day - perhaps get a massage! Evening yoga class and free night.
Tuesday, July 24
Morning core class and breakfast followed by a free day. Evening yoga class and free night for dinner - perhaps take a trip to Cannon Beach!
Wednesday, July 25
Today we will leave after breakfast for a trip to Willamette Wine Country! We will visit 3 vineyards with tastings, lunch, and even a picturesque yoga class included! In the evening we will have a group dinner included at a local restaurant.
Thursday, July 26
On our final morning, we'll have a core class and breakfast to end on a high note, and then we'll depart for the airport for goodbyes.
